As I like to call them, my favorite "I'll make them yaoi if I want to make them yaoi" couple.

About six months ago I met this strange and delightful young woman who prefers to call herself Akane. After nearly smothering me in her excitement once she found out I was a fellow shonen ai fan, she proceeded to regale me with tales of one of her favorite animes: something about these guys at an all-boys school who got into all sorts of trouble. I was pretty vague on the plot - she spent most of her time complaining that the two cute guys kept getting interrupted every time they were about to kiss.

*sweatdrops*

Did she have my number, or what?

We finally managed to sit down and actually watch the show, and I remember thinking that it was nothing like she described it, except for the cute guys almost kissing. *shrugs* I have a one track mind sometimes...

Until I can get this page a little more organized, check out what some other people think. Some very wise people seem to agree with me. :)

Akane has a page called Love Knows No Gender, a section dedicated to the Sacred Couples of Anime, and there's a section for Mitsuru and Shinobu.

Ganymede has compiled a list of incidents and conversations from the manga and anime that support the idea of Mitsuru and Shinobu as a couple.
